8TH HILL RESTAURANT - Manhattan, NY

8th Hill Restaurant is located at New York’s iconic corner of Columbus Ave. and 77th Street across from the Museum of Natural History. This is a restaturant where friends, family, and neighbors can feel welcome. It’s a perfect place for casual snacks and cocktails, or for feast with friends.

8th Hill design has a mid-century modern vibe while providing a shot of luxe comfort blending together timeless elements with modern, fashionable details. Inside, the brushed brass finishes and globe light fixtures have a midcentury-modern feel. Underbar lighting adds drama, and a bottle storage feature within the back bar wall is visible both from the inside and the outside. We wanted to evoke the Mediterranean of the 1950s and ’60s. Our goal was to give the restaurant a nautical vibe, a mediterranean feel with a modern twist. We provided full architectural services, from design to construction administration.
